Night Skin Care – what is worth remembering?

Night Skin Care – what is worth remembering?

It might seem like there is nothing complicated in night skin care. However, after a hard day, everyone can forget about something or, worse, go straight to bed because of the exhaustion without removing make-up, not even mentioning using a face cream. During sleep, our body regenerates and rests, and this also applies to the skin of the face and to ensure that this renewal process runs smoothly – proper skincare is very important.

Briefly:

Step 1. Make-up removal and cleansing
Step 2. Toning the complexion
Step 3. Serum a remedy for problems
Step 4. Moisturize the skin
Step 5. Take care of hygiene – keep the bed and towels clean

Step 1. Make-up removal and cleansing
How to remove makeup? Night Skin Care

Soak a cotton pad with micellar water and gently remove the foundation. If you have dry and sensitive skin, choose cleansing milk or make-up removal oil (this product has to be massaged on your face and rinsed with water). In turn, for oily or combination skin, micellar water will be appropriate. Remember! Do not rub your face hard – this is a bad habit, and over time it may cause that wrinkles may start appearing at places where the skin was often stretched. When removing the mascara, put a cotton pad soaked in a two-phase make-up remover to the eyelid and wait for a while for it to dissolve.

The eyelid is very delicate and it is important not to stretch it. If you have problems with waterproof mascara, run the cotton pad from top to bottom and toward the inner corner. If you are travelling or cannot perform the usual make-up removal, it is worth having make-up removal wipes at hand. Of course, it will not be a very thorough make-up removal but it’s better than nothing. Remember that make-up should always be washed off first with lukewarm water to cleanse the pores, and then with cold water to close them.

Cleanse the skin thoroughly

Choose a cleansing product, gel, milk or cleansing foam designed for your skin type (dry, combination or oily). Gently massage the skin for a while and rinse thoroughly with cool water. Pay attention to whether your cosmetic does not foam too much, this could mean it has too many cleansing substances that can dry out and stretch your skin and remove precious natural moisturizing oils.

Why is make-up removal and evening skin cleansing such an important part of skin care?

In the case of women, this is essential. Make-up left overnight clogs the pores and disturbs microcirculation. Eyelashes covered with mascara will crumble, lips will crack, pimples and enlarged pores will appear on the skin. Whereas coloured eyeshadow can irritate the conjunctiva, the eyes will feel dry and painful, it can even cause an inflammation. During the day, impurities, dirt, sweat and sebum accumulate on the face. If you do not take care of it, over time, it will result in ugly skin changes.

Why should cleaning be done in two steps? Night Skin Care

Oils attract and remove from the skin of the face accumulated greasy impurities and sebum. On the other hand, cleansing with gel and water removes the remnants of cleansing substances contained in make-up removing cosmetics.

Step 2. Toning the complexion

Tonic should be applied to restore your skin’s natural pH. It should contain moisturizing substances, such as hyaluronic acid, panthenol, glycerine, vitamin C, aloe or valuable plant extracts. Alcohol and detergents should be avoided in the composition. In addition, skin toning allows you to remove any residual impurities that are still on the skin after washing. The tonic is not a substitute for micellar water – as some people may think! It just refreshes, hydrates and prepares the skin for the next step, so it is improving the absorption of nutrients.

Step 4. Moisturizing the skin

As the last step, it is necessary to apply a nourishing night cream and eye cream. This will protect the skin from excessive drying during sleep. Moreover, it will intensively support skin regeneration.

Step 5. Take care of hygiene – keep the bed and towels clean
To take care of your complexion, often change pillowcases and sheets. Night Skin Care

Remnants of unwashed makeup, sweat and dirt are accumulated over time on your pillows. For this reason, it is important to keep them clean and change them at least several times a month. The skin of the face is in direct contact with bedding every night. So you don’t want unwanted bacteria and microbes to grow on it, right?

On the other hand, hang the towel that you use to wipe your face outside for it to dry well. Natural UV light will also help you to kill bacteria.
