An exciting opening has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated specialist physiotherapist with neuro experience to join our team at Redford Court in Liverpool. This post would offer the successful candidate the opportunity to be an integral part of an excellent team that provides comprehensive rehabilitation programmes and longer term living options for adults diagnosed with a brain injury.
Redford Court (part of the Disabilities Trust) is a specialist residential centre in Liverpool that works alongside people with an acquired brain injury to help them live as independently as possible. Our team at Redford Court is just one of our teams across the UK supporting people to move forward with their lives. The clinical team consists of Neuropsychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language and Physiotherapy who are supported by Rehabilitation Support Workers and therapy assistants.
Hours: This is a part time post of 28 hours, Monday to Friday
The ideal candidate must be a HCPC registered physiotherapist and have neuro experience at a Band 6 level or over 2 years experience at a Band 5 level.
Main Responsibilities:
To work within a specialist clinical area as an autonomous professional. To provide support and supervision to the Junior members of the team. To accept professional accountability and responsibility.
To undertake comprehensive neurological assessments, analyses, and treatment plans.
To deliver effective treatment plans and progress/adjust according to the service user response, multi/inter disciplinary team discussion, and other influencing factors.
To ensure that treatment plans are informed by the best evidence and practice guidelines.
To provide specialist professional advice and support and use complex clinical problem-solving under the support of a Band 7 physiotherapist.
To engage in a specialist area of interest within the wider physio team.
To work pro-actively as part of the multi/inter disciplinary team providing physiotherapy input within the BIRT neurobehavioral/ neuropsychological model.
About you:
Suitable applicants will have a degree/diploma within physiotherapy and HCPC registered.
Previous experience within neurology is essential
Ability to prioritise workload and meet specified deadlines.
