Sales Engineer

Your role as Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Engineer is to identify and develop opportunities to promote, advise and sell the companies specialist products into existing and new customers.

Our client is a global manufacturer and supplier of high-end products, parts, and equipment into the Pneumatics, Digital Electrical, Fluid Power, Safety Devices, Specialist Composites sectors, and have an outstanding reputation in the industry.

As Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Engineer you will support other key company departments and customers giving advice and recommendations on workable engineering solutions.

You will also be expected to support business development in regards to exploring new avenues of opportunities within the current core of products and within new industry areas.

Salary – Up to £40K basic, plus Company Car, bonus (Up to 10% of revenue), pension, 25 days Hols (plus BH taking it to 32 days total)

Location: North Wales – Rhyl, Liverpool, Warrington, Chester, Preston, Blackpool, Wrexham, Manchester, Stoke on Trent

Role / Person:

• Be an experience Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Engineer ideally working with or has worked with Pneumatics, Digital Electrical, Fluid Power, Safety Devices, Special Composites.
• Identify new opportunities where the companies specialist products and services can be utilised.
• Assist / co-manage accounts and to ensure budget and growth targets are met.
• Advise customers and colleagues regarding engineering applications and offer solutions to technical queries.
• Give customer support on projects from inception to completion.
• Visit customers as and when required to support and report on progress of projects.
• Visit new customers to discuss requirements, advise accordingly, provide written quotes and provide after-service.

Essential & Desirable Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of all core MS Office applications – Essential
• Experience of PPAP – Essential
• APQP experience – Essential
• Working knowledge of MS Project – Desirable
• Working knowledge of ISO9001 / IATF16949 – Essential
• Excellent communication / presentation skills – Essential
• Customer management skills – Essential
• Working knowledge of MS AX – Desirable
• Working knowledge of ERP/MPR systems – Essential
• Professional qualification in business or engineering-based subject
• HNC/D minimum – Essential
