Position: Document Controller
Location: Manchester
Salary: £25-35k + Package
The Company
Our client is a well-established, award-winning main contractor who have over 25 years in delivering Highways and Civil Engineering projects for their clients. Due to expansion in their Highways and Civil Engineering department, they are looking for a Document Controller to join them on a permanent basis.
The Role
Reporting to the Project manager you will be responsible for:
• management & control of all information systems utilised by the company
• management and control of all site documentation to ensure accurate registration, storage of drawings & specifications along with accurate liaison with all parties associated with the project
• provision of training on the use of document management software to relevant project teams and subcontractors.
• ensuring hard copies & the management of a business archive of information are kept on site and can be accessed and referenced at any time.
• provide regular reports illustrating status of documents issued & approved process including references to allow process blockage to be exposed.
• Experience Required
• a good understanding of IT and the EDMS systems
• ability to understand how the operations of the department relate to others and work collaboratively to obtain the best outcome for the business.
• good interpersonal and communication skills
• determination to see tasks through to completion, with excellent planning and organisation skills, accurateness & diligence
• ability to communicate with individuals at all levels & focus on the customer requirements
• experience of document control gained within the construction sector
Experience
• Previous experience as a Document Controller is essential
• Experience working within the Civil Engineering sector
• The ability to demonstrate a stable and progressive career on your CV
