Accounts Assistant

A prestigious Legal organisation in Belfast is seeking an Accounts Assistant, and has engaged the services of Brook Street (UK) Ltd to secure candidates for this permanent vacancy.

The successful candidate will join an established, successful, and experienced team within our client’s Accounts function, and will conduct duties such as:
• Payment of bills
• Reconciliation of accounts
• Issuing cheques and invoices
• Preparing lodgements of monies / cheques
• Posting transactions at the end of the working day
• General office administrative support
• Monthly wages and pensions
• HMRC and VAT returns
• Paying monthly bills e.g. rent, rates, and utilities
• Client-to-office account transfers
• Identification and posting search fees e.g. Land Registry, Law Searchers, Credit Card
• Weekly bank account reconciliations
• Month-end processes
• Credit control

This is a permanent role, the salary bracket is £20,000 to £25,000, it’s based in Belfast city centre, and the days of work are Monday to Friday. Our client will, however, consider applications from candidates who wish to work on a part-time or flexible basis.

Experience in Book-Keeping is essential, while experience of working within a Law firm is desirable.
