Galaxy S or Galaxy Note?

Every year Samsung presents new smartphones from the two Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series. The first flagship series are premium devices for each user. The second series are devices more for people who can use a large screen and the S-Pen stylus. These two features definitely distinguish these devices from the others.
In August 2020, two models from the Note series entered the market. Galaxy Note 20 – aimed rather at a wider group of customers who do not want to spend a lot of money on a smartphone and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, which can meet all the needs of demanding users.

Galaxy Note 20 vs Note 20 Ultra

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 is a business smartphone with a Super AMOLED screen with a diagonal of 6.7 inches in FULL HD + resolution. So, above all, a huge workspace, expressive colors and ultra-deep black. Only problem may be the refresh rate of only 60HZ.

The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, on the other hand, has a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen with WQHD + resolution.

The image quality is similar on both devices – amazing! The situation changes when we turn on the 120 Hz refresh. In this case, the differences are more visible. It is also worth mentioning that Samsung has made sure that, despite the quick refreshment of the Note 20 Ultra, it remains energy-efficient.

Powerful interior and photos

Both models on the European market received the top Exynos 990 processor. Both have 256 GB of space for files. The difference is the ram memory. Note 20 has 8 GB, and Note 20 Ultra as much as 12 GB.

Another important thing is the camera. Note 20 has the same camera as the Galaxy S20. So 2x 12 MP – standard and wide-angle. Additionally, a 64Mp 3xZoom telephoto lens.

In Note 20 Ultra we have a 108 MP main camera, 12 MP wide-angle and a video camera with a 5xZoom telephoto lens. In the more expensive model, we also got a laser autofocus, which is missing in the Galaxy Note 20.

Business design

In terms of appearance, both devices are beautiful. Narrow frame, large display and a slightly edgy but elegant design. The downside is too much protruding camera module.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 comes in matte colors – gray, copper and green. Note 20 Ultra, on the other hand, has only one matte color – copper. Black and green are shiny. Another interesting thing is the back case. Note 20 Ultra has a beautiful glass back that looks great in this class of smartphones. Note 20 has an ugly plastic back. Excuse me! “Glasstick” back. The only advantage is that it is more resistant to falls. Maybe.

Both phones are great in the hand. Their size does not bother. Especially when we use the S-pen! The S-pen connects to the phone via bluetooth and allows you to use it for 20 minutes. It is very comfortable and precise.
