While walking down the streets of Wimbledon you can admire some old buildings in which there are lots of restaurants with delicious food and pubs with mouth-watering beer. If you happen to be here, you will have a great opportunity to visit some of the places.  If you are in the need of shopping, feel free to go to a local town centre, which offers a wide range of shops and boutiques that you should visit. Wimbledon Championships

The Wimbledon Championships, commonly known as Wimbledon – officially the oldest and most prestigious tennis tournament in the whole world which has been held since 1877. Wimbledon is one of the four Grand Slam tournaments together with Australian Open, French Open and US Open. Hence, it is not a bold claim that the place is a Mecca for tennis fans all over the globe. Among players you may have the opportunity to watch (playing or cheering) and meet such recognizable names as Andre Agassi, Steffi Graf, Boris Becker, Serena Williams and Agnieszka Radwanska. People managing this huge facility are professionals who have a solution for every problem. Few years ago the Centre Court had a problem with a natural phenomenon. Rain used to disturb players during the match, today a  retractable roof had been erected and rain does not seem to be the problem any more. It is worth mentioning that the Centre Court hosted tennis competitions at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

To put it in a nut shell,  if you are in Wimbledon on purpose or even by accident, do not forget to visit this place! It will bring you much entertainment with great memories.
