We are seeking to appoint one dedicated support assistant to join our team here at Co-op Academy New Islington.
One of our pupils has complex medical and physical needs. She is in a wheelchair full time, and needs personal care. She is absolutely delightful, and everyone who knows her adores her. She is bright and cheerful, chatty and engaging.
The successful candidate will:
Support and nurture her with care, empathy, kindness and compassion
Carry out intimate care (toileting)
Support feeding (via a PEG feed)
Carry out physiotherapy programmes.
Develop and carry out a personalised education programme.
Full training will be given on every aspect of the role prior to starting. We strongly recommend that prospective candidates come and visit us.
