An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Speech & Language Therapist to work in an exceptional care home based in the Liverpool, Merseyside area. You will be working for one of UK’s leading healthcare providers
This care home provides specialist rehabilitation care for people with an acquired brain injury (ABI) or progressive neurological conditions (PNCs)
**To be considered for this position you must have a degree in Speech & Language Therapy and registered with the HCPC**
As the Speech & Language Therapist your key responsibilities include:
• Manage complex cases, cultural and linguistic differences, and to generate strategies
• To demonstrate specialist knowledge in communication and swallowing disorders
• To contribute to the assessment and information-gathering regarding service users’ mental capacity and ability to give informed consent with support from senior colleagues
• To assist service user’s to maximise their independence in decision-making and communicating their wishes
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
• To have experience of managing a caseload involving assessment and treatment of dysphagia
• Experience of working with families
• Evidence of continuing Professional Development
• Able to show a can-do attitude always
• Specialist clinical knowledge and experience in Adult Neuro-rehab
The successful Speech & Language Therapist will receive an excellent salary of £38,000 per annum. This exciting position is a Full Time role working 30 hours a week. In return for your hard and dedication you will receive the following generous benefits:
